Veteran literary figure Ratna Sri Wijesinghe, who served as the Chairman of the National Library and Documentation Services Board, has reportedly resigned from the position. He has already submitted his resignation letter to the authorities, and it is stated that the resignation will take effect from August 1st.
Sunethra Rajakarunanayake, Abdul Razak Abdul Karim, Sivasamy Rajasingham, Professor Wasantha Subasinghe, Dr. Ananda Tissa and P. Hemachandra are the other members of the board of directors. Ratna Sri Wijesinghe assumed this position on December 16, 2024.
