The Balapitiya Magistrate’s Court today ordered the remand of Amit Chathuranga, alias “Batapola Ninthane Chutte”, a Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP from the Ambalangoda Pradeshiya Sabha, until tomorrow (13), who was arrested on charges of illegally possessing a firearm.
He was arrested yesterday (11) by the Galle District Crime Division on charges of illegally possessing a Repeater type firearm.
