The Ministry of Education has decided to allow school students to wear appropriate clothing that covers their arms and legs in addition to their school uniforms to protect themselves from mosquito bites. A statement issued by the Ministry of Education in this regard states that this decision was taken due to the rapid spread of dengue among school children.
The Secretary to the Ministry of Education states that steps have been taken to inform all principals regarding this decision and that further instructions will be officially announced in the future.
