Two-time World Cup winners India suffer crushing defeat against Ireland

Ireland ended India’s 17-match winning streak in T20Is. Ireland won the two-match T20I series 2-0 and India’s attempt to avoid a humiliating defeat by levelling the series failed as Ireland won the second T20I by one run at the Stormont Cricket Ground in Belfast yesterday.

In the first ODI between the two teams held in Belfast on the 26th, Ireland, who batted first, managed to score 182 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Locker Tucker scored 50 runs. Harshit Rana took 3 wickets for 24 runs.

Ireland, in reply, were bowled out for 148 in 18.5 overs.

Ireland captain Logan Tucker, who addressed the media after the victory, said that it was a great victory for the team to beat a team that had been world champions for two consecutive years.
