It is reported that 11 people have died in a plane crash that occurred in the town of Tomblain in northeastern France. The pilot and 10 passengers are among the dead, and the passengers include five students and five parachute instructors.
The plane, which belonged to a parachute training school, crashed shortly after taking off from Nancy-Essie airport. French Transport Minister Philippe Taberot said he and Interior Minister Laurent Nunez had rushed to the scene of the crash, describing it as a “terrible tragedy”.
