Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has filed a petition with the Court of Appeal seeking a restraining order against his arrest under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in connection with the investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The IGP, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department Shani Abeysekara and its OIC have been named as respondents in the petition. The petition has been filed through attorney Sanath Wijewardene.
