Dengue nurseries in several government institutions.

It is reported that out of a total of 31,196 premises inspected on the first day of the three-day dengue control program, 2,097 premises with dengue mosquito larvae have been found.

The three-day special national dengue mosquito control program announced by the Ministry of Health and Mass Media began yesterday (08) in 72 Medical Officer of Health divisions in 14 districts.

This three-day national dengue mosquito control program will continue until tomorrow (10) and today is its second day.

According to the report on the premises inspections carried out yesterday (08) and the programs implemented, the total number of premises inspected yesterday was 31,196.

Of these, 8,121 premises have been identified as potential breeding sites for dengue mosquitoes.

The National Dengue Control Unit also points out in the same report that 2,097 premises with dengue mosquito larvae were identified.

1,165 notices were issued yesterday and legal action was taken against 789 people.

56 schools were also inspected yesterday, of which 31% were identified as potential breeding sites for dengue mosquitoes, and dengue mosquito larvae were found in 07 schools.

In the inspection carried out on 178 premises in the construction sector, 93 of them were identified as potential breeding sites for dengue mosquitoes, dengue mosquito larvae were found in 41 places and legal action was taken against 24.

189 government institutions have been inspected, and dengue mosquito larvae have been found in 50 of them.

70 places where dengue mosquitoes can breed have also been identified.

Out of 96 religious places inspected, dengue mosquito larvae have been found in 18 religious places. 42 places where dengue mosquitoes can breed have also been identified.

77 factory premises have been inspected yesterday, and dengue mosquito larvae have been found in 17 of them.

During the three-day dengue mosquito control program, 28,230 residential premises have been inspected yesterday, and dengue mosquito larvae have been found in 7,088 premises where mosquitoes can breed and 1,760 premises. Legal action has been taken against 657 homes.
