Mahinda summoned before the Bribery or Corruption Commission .

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has been summoned to appear before the Sri Lanka Bribery or Corruption Commission on May 12 to give a statement regarding the Airbus deal investigation.

According to the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, a letter informing Mr. Rajapaksa to appear before the commission on May 12, 2026, was delivered to his Carlton residence today (May 9).

The summons came less than 24 hours after the suspicious death of former Sri Lankan Airlines CEO Kapila Chandrasena, who was involved in the Airbus deal investigation.
