The Colombo Additional Magistrate today ordered the remand of Pallegama Hemarathana Thero, who was arrested last night while receiving treatment at the Nawaloka Hospital in connection with an incident of abduction of a minor girl, until the 12th.
The arrested Hemarathana Thero was examined by the Magistrate on the hospital premises. The Magistrate then ordered that the Thero be admitted to the Colombo National Hospital or the Prison Hospital for treatment on medical recommendations.
The Thero is scheduled to be produced before the Anuradhapura Magistrate’s Court on the 12th.
