Six Iranian boats were sunk for interfering with commercial shipping operations.

The head of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) Admiral Brad Cooper said that it would be better for Iran to stay away from US military assets and facilities.

Speaking in a warning to Iran, he said that during the ‘Project Freedom’ operation to open the Strait of Hormuz, six Iranian boats were sunk and several Iranian cruise missiles and drones were successfully destroyed.

He further said that this was a defensive operation and that anti-ballistic missile ships were deployed for this. He said that there are ships belonging to 87 countries in the Gulf and he asked those ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without fear.
