Tilvin says money hidden in Uganda is still being sought.

His government has already begun investigations into money suspected of being hidden in foreign countries by leaders of previous governments, with the support of those countries, and foreign countries are contributing to these investigations more than ever before, said Tilvin Silva, General Secretary of the JVP.

He also stated that at the end of these investigations, all information about the individuals involved in the financial frauds, the amounts of money involved and the countries where the money is kept will be revealed.

“Foreign countries are providing great support to the government for these investigations. Previous governments did not receive such support. It was because of that international support that we were able to bring many members of the underworld gangs who were hiding abroad to this country,” the Secretary added.

Responding to a question raised by journalists regarding the money allegedly hidden in countries like Uganda and the progress of those investigations, he stated that a full investigation will be conducted into the large-scale corruption and fraud that occurred during the previous administrations.

He said this while participating in a media discussion.
