The ”Walk For Peace” peace walk will begin at 6.30 am today (22) from Dambulla and will continue with state sponsorship until April 28.
Last October, more than 200 monks marched for peace from Texas to Washington, USA, covering 10 states for 110 days, drawing the attention of the entire world.
The walk, called the ”Ehipassiko” peace walk, has been organized in this country with state sponsorship until April 28. The monks, led by the Vietnamese Venerable Pannakara Thero, have already arrived in Sri Lanka to participate in the walk, and a dog named “Aloka” is also joining the monks for this peace walk.
Peace The first day of the march will be held today up to the Aluvihara in Matale.
