A spokesperson for the power plant stated that one generator at the Norochcholai Lakvijaya coal-fired power plant has been out of service for maintenance.
However, he added that electricity will be generated from the second and third generators as needed.
The Norochcholai power plant has three generators, one of which generates 300 megawatts of electricity, and the power plant’s contribution to the national grid is 900 megawatts.
