Former senior public servant Anusha Pelpita has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption.
He has been arrested for failing to explain the legal manner in which he acquired assets exceeding one hundred and forty-six million rupees (Rs. 46,000,000).
Anusha Pelpita is an officer who has previously held several high government positions as a Ministry Secretary and a Director General.
Further investigations will be conducted into the incident.
