Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa says that if he had been informed about the illness of former Minister Nandana Gunathilaka earlier, he could have intervened more to save his life.
The Opposition Leader made this statement while addressing the media when he arrived to pay his last respects to the late Nandana Gunathilaka.
The Opposition Leader, who further commented, also said:
“I first came to know about the illness of Mr. Nandana Gunathilaka from a friend who is abroad. He had already been transferred from the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital to the Ragama Hospital. If I had been informed about his condition earlier, I could have done more to save his life.”
The Opposition Leader further recalled that the late Nandana Gunathilaka was a highly discussed figure in the political arena.
