Police Media Spokesperson F. U. Wutler said that 7,900,461 people (over 7.9 million) have been checked through special search operations carried out across the island since January 1 this year. He stated this while addressing a media briefing held yesterday.

Elaborating further, he said that 6,641 people involved in various crimes have been arrested by the police during the same period.

The Police Media Spokesperson also said that 73,634 people with day warrants and 48,335 open warrants issued by the courts have been taken into police custody and legal action has been taken.

He said that a total of 2,941 illegal firearms have been seized by the police during this period, including 73 T-56 firearms, 83 pistols, 59 revolvers, and 2,126 other types of firearms.

He also said that since January 1, 2025, the total amount of heroin seized in the country is 1793 kilograms and 139 grams, and 3683 kilograms and 163 grams of ice have been taken into police custody.
