Chilaw Hospital Damages Over 1200 Million.

The flood-hit Chilaw General Hospital has suffered damages worth over 1200 million rupees, says Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa. He said this while visiting the hospital yesterday (12).

The Minister, who inspected the ward complex being constructed at the hospital, said that it will be completed by November next year and that the emergency and treatment building complex is expected to be constructed within a period of 2 years.

Chilaw Hospital is the main government hospital in the Puttalam district, and its bed capacity is close to 650. Nearly a thousand health staff work there.
