The Navy is celebrating its 75th anniversary today. In conjunction with this celebration, the Navy Headquarters located in Colombo Fort will be relocated to the Akuregoda Defence Headquarters premises.
Accordingly, the Akuregoda premises will henceforth function as the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and the tri-forces.
From today onwards, the old Navy Headquarters premises are to function as a Naval Coordination Center.
