The government is working to build a broad national alliance by uniting the Tamil diaspora and Sri Lankans abroad who value peace and reconciliation.
It is reported that a program to build harmony between the representatives of the Tamil diaspora and the Maha Sangha against the Eelam ideology has already been started.

This new program is going to be implemented to expedite the work of getting the support of the Tamil Diaspora for development activities in this country.
