A complaint has been filed with the Nanuoya Police against a youth who is accused of hitting a dog with a stick and throwing it into a canal.
According to the police, the incident took place in the Edinburgh Estate in Nanuoya, where a woman alleged that her pet dog had bitten a cat belonging to the youth and then attacked it.
In retaliation, the suspect allegedly attacked the dog and threw it into the canal.
However, the dog managed to swim away safely despite being injured.
The complainant told the police that the dog was injured during the attack.
Meanwhile, the youth has also filed a complaint, claiming that his cat was bitten by the dog.
The Nanuoya Police OIC says that both parties have been summoned for an investigation and the youth has agreed to provide treatment to the injured dog. Both sides later reached a settlement.
