Former IGP Deshabandhu Tennakoon has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department in connection with a case related to the 2022 public uprising. Deshabandhu Tennakoon was named as a suspect in the case.
The arrest came after the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court rejected his anticipatory bail application today.
