The Customs Committee has decided to release 2527 containers imported into the country, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dr. Anil Jayantha stated in Parliament today (6).
These containers have been identified as low-risk and no intelligence reports have been received regarding any illegal substances, the Minister said. He further stressed that all taxes and duties due on these containers have been duly paid.
