Tilvin Silva, General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, says that the Chinese Communist Party told him that he would need to be in power for 15-20 years to bring about the desired changes in Sri Lanka.
He also stated that they told him that changes could not be made in five years and that four or five votes would have to be won.
He said that these views were shared during discussions with Chinese Communist Party leaders during his recent visit to China. He made these views while participating in a discussion on an online channel.
