The Government’s Committee on Public Finance (CoPF) yesterday expressed its displeasure over the absence of officials from the Ministry of Public Security and the Department of Immigration for discussions regarding the issuance of online visas for foreigners visiting Sri Lanka.
The committee chairman said that when the committee met earlier, officials from the aforementioned ministry and department had agreed to attend the committee meeting yesterday but suddenly informed them that they could not participate in the discussion.
Accordingly, it has been decided to call the officers before the CoPF committee on another day.
