President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed two new governors to two provinces.
Accordingly, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena was sworn in as the new Governor of the Southern Province and Nasir Ahmed as the Governor of the North Western Province.
Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena has been appointed for the vacant position due to the resignation of Mr. Willy Gamage, who served as the Governor of the Southern Province.
