N.P.P member of parliament, Vijitha Herath, says that an agreement will be reached with the International Monetary Fund to resolve the country’s debt crisis under the rule of National People’s Forces.
He mentioned that Sri Lanka will contact the Financial Fund as a mediator for the restructuring of the international debt. But he said that he does not see any need to subject to conditions in debt restructuring.
He further mentioned that he will request a mandate in the upcoming elections to amend the conditions that are harmful to the people and move forward with the International Monetary Fund Agreement. He made these comments at a press conference held in Colombo.
