According to the report, the Anti-Terrorism Bill, which includes provisions for the prevention of terrorist activities, and the Security of Online Systems Bill, which includes provisions for the regulation of social media, are scheduled to be submitted to Parliament for the first reading on Tuesday, October 3.
The Anti-Terrorism Bill was introduced by the Minister of Judicial Prisons and Constitutional Reforms, Dr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, and the Online Security Bill was introduced by the Minister of Public Security, Tiran Alas to be tabled.
