UNP General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara says that more than two MIllion rupees will be spent by samaagi jana balawegaya (S.J.B) for the people who will be brought to Colombo during the protest to be held on January 30, 2023.
He further said that such a large amount of money is being spent to provide alcohol to the people participating in the protest.
“A person close to the SJB leader has assured that he will pay for the this monru. It is alleged that this person recently paid money to former Member of Parliament Chaminda Wijesiri to resign from his position as Member of Parliament. UNP General Secretary added. However, political sources say that Ranjith Maddumabandara, general secretary of SJP, has rejected that statement.
