Xpress Pearl agreed to pay $850,000 million (850 billion) in compensation…

Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reform Wijayadasa Rajapaksa said that the shipping company has agreed to pay 850,000 million dollars in compensation related to the Xpress Pearl ship accident in Sri Lankan waters. He also mentioned that they have agreed to give more money in rupees.

He said that after the relevant case was transferred to the Singapore court, they reached this agreement during the negotiations with the related insurance company.

Addressing the Parliament, he said this today.
