The Anuradhapura Police said that the group arrested yesterday while digging for treasure on a land near a temple in the Sravastipur area in Thimbirikadawala was produced in court and remanded until the 26th of this month.
The police said that the group arrested includes residents of Badulla, Maligathenna, Padavi-Sripura, Giradurukotte, Warakapola and Anuradhapura areas, and that they were arrested while digging for treasure on a land near a temple in the Sravastipura area.
