The Avenue will host When the Mediterranean Meets the Tropics, an exclusive two-night dining experience on 29 and 30 October, bringing together Greek chef Alexandros Pavlopoulos and Sri Lankan American Chef Oshan Jayasundera.
Greece and Sri Lanka share a love of the sea, grilled seafood, family meals and warm hospitality, and for centuries Ceylon cinnamon and pepper found their way into Mediterranean kitchens. The dinner celebrates that connection through a specially curated menu.
Starters include Greek spreads with warm pol roti and Ceylon chilli oil, burrata with green mango achcharu and kithul-balsamic dressing, and charcoal-grilled octopus with a goraka black-pepper glaze. Mains feature sea bass with kiribath and coconut curry, Greek herb-marinated lamb chops with Jaffna-spiced potatoes, and Sri Lankan spiced crab with creamy Greek orzo. Dessert pairs loukoumades with pol pani, and baklava with Ceylon cinnamon honey and king coconut ice cream.
Packages are LKR 30,000 for two and LKR 100,000 for a table of eight, with special bottle deals available. Seating is by pre-reservation only, confirmed on full payment, and tables are limited.
