Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Vijitha Herath said that former Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila will be given three days to publish the report of the Presidential Commission investigating the series of bombings that hit Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
He says that it should be investigated how a report that should be in the possession of the government got out and that it is a crime to keep such a report secret for so long. He said that he is ready to conduct an investigation in this regard at the Cabinet press conference held today.
He said that the government is bound to do justice to the people after conducting the investigation in the right way.
He demands that Mr. Gammanpila should reveal how he received the relevant report and if he has the report, hand it over to the government.
Addressing a press conference yesterday, former Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila gave the President 7 days to publish the report of the Easter Commission.
