A comprehensive investigation has been launched into alleged fraud, corruption, and irregularities within the Department of Motor Traffic.
Accordingly, a special operation was carried out today to extract and analyze all data from the department’s computer system.
It is reported that a team of investigators, including officers from the Valana Central Anti-Corruption Unit, is involved in this operation.
Experts from the University of Colombo School of Computing, officials from the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT), and specialists from GovTech Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Telecom are also participating in the operation.
