USA Ban Cricket

The International Cricket Council has decided to suspend the membership of the United States National Cricket Association with immediate effect.

The decision has been taken due to USA Cricket’s repeated and persistent breach of its obligations as an ICC member under the International Cricket Council’s constitution.

The decision was taken after a meeting of the International Cricket Council held yesterday (23).

USAC’s suspension will not affect the T20 World Cup starting in India and Sri Lanka in February or the national team’s participation in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

At the ICC Annual General Meeting in July, USAC was given three months to hold “free and fair elections” and implement “comprehensive” governance reforms.

The suspension comes two months after the ICC’s decision.

The International Cricket Council warned USAC that it reserves the right to take any action it deems appropriate based on the progress of the reforms.
