US President Donald Trump has responded to Iran’s threat to close the Strait of Hormuz and attack oil tankers.
He said the world would not allow Iran to push it into an energy crisis and that US naval vessels would provide protection for ships transporting oil in the Gulf.
Market sources said that crude oil and gas prices are rising rapidly in the face of the crisis in the Middle East.
