The man who was seriously injured in a shooting incident in the Naimulla area of Payagala has been identified as the brother-in-law of organized criminal Panadura Nilanga, the police said.
A person named Dila has been admitted to the Nagoda Hospital with serious injuries in the shooting incident that took place in Payagala yesterday afternoon. The police also said that the shooting is suspected to have occurred due to a clash between two factions of the underworld.
It is reported that the shooting may have been carried out by the faction of organized criminal and large-scale drug trafficker Salindu Malshitha alias “Kudu Salindu”.
