Deputy Minister of Industries Chathuranga Abeysinghe says that trust in the Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship is eroding day by day, and that the problems of industrialists will not be resolved by confrontation with the government or the minister alone. He made these comments while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Small Business Development Sector Pilot Project.
He further commented on the occasion and said
‘Unfortunately, trust in our Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship is eroding day by day. In terms of national policy, we are failing. Whether it is tax policy, investment policy, or the policy on the law of the land, we are failing miserably. It will take some time for us to change those policies. Because we are now trying to do our best within the framework that exists according to the country’s situation. “A huge mafia is working to prevent industries from emerging in small countries like Sri Lanka,” he said.
