Three women who arrived from Bangkok with over five kg of Kush cannabis have been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.
The three suspects were arrested in a raid conducted on a tip-off received by officers of the Airport Police Narcotics Bureau.
The arrested women are said to be residents of Maligawatta and Wellampitiya areas, aged 25, 48 and 50.
The Police Narcotics Bureau is conducting further investigations in this regard.
