Three students of a school in Piliyandala have been admitted to the Piliyandala District Hospital after a tree fell on a building. One of the students has been transferred to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
The accident occurred due to heavy rains that fell shortly before school ended this afternoon. Two female students and one male student studying in the 10th grade of the school have been injured.
The roof of the building has also been severely damaged due to this and the Piliyandala Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
