Three countries in a special discussion about debt restructuring in Sri Lanka.

A special discussion for the coordination of activities related to debt restructuring in Sri Lanka is being held under the initiative of Japan, India and France. While participating in the annual Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, USA, those countries organized a special press conference in this regard.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe also joined the joint press conference with zoom technology held by Japanese Finance Minister Sunichi Suzuki, Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire via Zoom technology.

Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that close coordination between Sri Lanka and all its creditors is critical to speedily implement a remedy to bring about debt stability.
