Thilini Priyamali fined 1500 rupees. Released with a warning

Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage has ordered the release of Thilini Priyamali, a business woman who caused a lot of controversy last season for accepting illegal cash deposits.

That was after pleading guilty in a case filed against her for violating three court orders. The Magistrate who imposed a fine of 1,500 rupees on the suspected business woman, proceeded to impose two weeks imprisonment if she did not pay

The Fort Police had informed the court that Thilini Priyamali had taken a gold necklace and did not return it, violating a bail condition and not reporting to the police for three days.

In relation to that, the magistrate had ordered that she has to be remanded until the 22nd, and after that order, the lawyer panel led by lawyer Kingsley Hettiarachchi, who represented her by filing a motion, apologized to the court and informed that she has appeared before the court.

The magistrate said that the medical reports submitted by her are fake medical reports and the suspect will be released on the plea of guilty and apology. Regarding the incident, the case was ordered to be called again on July 26.
