The rubber bullet lie of wildlife is exposed. Lead balls were found in Sita’s body

It is reported that an iron ball and several pieces of lead were found during the second surgery performed on Sita elephant, who was shot by a civil defense soldier in Mahiyangana. These pieces of lead were found during a 4-hour surgery today.

Specialist Dr. Dangolla said that the operation was performed in accordance with a request from the court to find out if there are any metal parts in the body and allow them to be removed, as elepkants health is gradually weakening.

These lead balls have been removed by a medical team including senior professor Ashoka Dangolla of Peradeniya University’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in an operation this morning.

The professor told the media that finding out whether there are more iron balls like this is an essential factor, but the lack of scan or X-ray machines required for that is a serious problem.
