The Rila case will be heard on the 26th

The Court of Appeal has ordered that the petition filed by environmental organizations to issue an injunction to prevent the export of 100,000 Sri Lankan wool to a Chinese company will be called on the 26th.

This petition was heard today (19) by the President of the Court of Appeal, Judge Nishanka Bandula Karunaratne and A. He was called before the Appellate Court bench consisting of Judges Marikkar, where the government lawyer representing the Attorney General presented his facts before the court and asked for a date to present his facts in relation to this case.

Accordingly, the court ordered the petition to be called again on the 26th

The petition was submitted by 27 stakeholders including the Sri Lanka Wildlife and Environment Protection Association, Reverend Matara Ananda Sagara Thero, Otara Gunawardena and Rukshan Jayawardena.
