Minister of Electricity and Power Kanchana Wijesekera said that the first ship carrying fuel for the filling station of the sinopec company, will arrive in Sri Lanka at the end of this month.
The minister further said that with the receipt of the fuel stock, the new suppliers’ fuel distribution operations will begin and at the same time .The Minister said that 150 filling stations have been given to Sinopec and there is some delay in the naming of the filling stations and mentioned that the filling stations will be operated under the name of Ceypetco for a short time.
The minister said this while addressing a press conference held yesterday at the Presidential Center.
