The information obtained by the Secretariat of Parliament under the Right to Information Act reveals that the amount spent on the tea party and other entertainment activities after the inauguration of the 10th Parliament session of the current government is Rs. 339,628.55.
It was also revealed that another Rs. 72,350,000 was spent on the ceremonial activities of the inaugural session of the 10th Parliament.
According to the information provided by the Secretariat of Parliament, an amount of Rs. 287,340.00 was spent on ceremonial activities and tea parties held under the parliamentary expenditure head during the inaugural session of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s 09th Parliament, and no calculation of the expenses incurred for the ceremonial activities has been made.
It is also revealed that an amount of Rs. 339,628.55 was spent on the tea party given to the current President Anurag Kumara Dissanayake after the inaugural session of the 10th Parliament.
