Former Vice Mayor of Kaduwela Municipality Chandika Abeyratne has been arrested by the police.
He has been arrested for assaulting Piyath Nikeshala, who is a social media activist as well as a front-line worker in the Galle Mudoora struggle. He was arrested by the police while he was receiving treatment at the Mulleriya hospital.
