The cruise service between India and Sri Lanka will start today.

Passenger ferry service between India and Sri Lanka starts today. The Ministry of Shipping, Shipping and Civil Aviation states that its first passenger vessel is scheduled to reach Sri Lanka this morning (14) from India.

The fifty-passenger vessel from Nagapatnam is scheduled to reach Kankasanthuraya port at around 11.30 am today. The Indian Shipping Corporation is conducting the operations of this passenger vessel service and a new passenger terminal has also been constructed at the Kankasanturaya port premises for immigration purposes.

This passenger ship, which came to the island from India in the morning, is scheduled to leave Kankasanthuraya port again for India at 02.30 pm today.

A round trip ticket costs Rs 53,500 and a one way ticket costs Rs 27,000.
