The body of a specialist anesthesiologist from Badulla Hospital, who was reported missing yesterday morning, has been found on a rock in a forest in the Mapakadawewa area of Mahiyanganaya.
The doctor was last on duty on the morning of the 23rd and since he did not report for duty yesterday (24), during the investigation, it was reported that a CCTV camera in the Meegahakivula area had recorded the doctor’s car driving towards Mahiyanganaya.
During a joint investigation conducted by the police and military officers, the doctor’s car was found in the Mapakadawewa area at 17th Kanuwa on the Badulla-Mahiyanganaya canal road. During a subsequent search, the police were able to find the doctor’s body on a small rock in a nearby forest.
