President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has expressed his views on the buses carrying the National People’s Power (NPP) delegation that arrived for the May Day rally in Galle Face stopping on the expressway to get food. While participating in the Derana 360 program, he said that he had inquired about this from the relevant organizers.
He also said that relevant legal action would be taken against the drivers of those buses and the police officers who were present on them when the activities were carried out.
The President said that every bus has an organizer and accordingly, a list of organizers who were in charge of the buses that were stopped on the expressway has been called.
