Suwasevana Hospital Partners with Sri Lanka Army to Provide Concessionary Healthcare Benefits

Suwasevana Hospital, one of the leading private healthcare providers in Kandy, has partnered with the Sri Lanka Army to extend concessionary healthcare benefits to army personnel under Sri Lanka Army’s ‘Suwasahana Insurance Scheme’. The partnership was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reaffirming Suwasevana’s commitment to supporting those who have dedicated their lives to safeguarding the nation.

The MoU was signed by Brigadier Fernando, Major Dhanushka Kumara, and Lieutenant Colonel Premachandra on behalf of the Sri Lanka Army, while Suwasevana Hospital was represented by Mr. Srimath Welivita, Head of Business Development, along with Miss Lakshani Perera, Marketing Executive, and Mr. Ashan Premachandra, Business Development Officer. Through this agreement, Suwasevana will offer a range of exclusive benefits to members of the armed forces, ensuring greater accessibility to quality medical care.

Under this partnership, Suwasahana insurance scheme holders will receive waived admission fees, free consultations for OPD visits, and significant discounts on various medical services. Laboratory tests and radiology services, including CT scans, MRI, mammograms, X-rays, and ultrasounds, will be available at a 20% reduced rate. The same discount will apply to ECHO and ECG tests, as well as room charges for inpatient care. In addition, patients requiring coronary bypass surgery will benefit from a Rs. 50,000 discount, while those within a 10km radius of the hospital can also avail themselves of a free ambulance service.
